Treat a combo as several packed components plus one carrying arrangement. Check the complete meal, side and drink together before choosing the bag and counting supplies.
Build an order map from menu combinations
| Order | Primary components | Separate carrying decision |
|---|---|---|
| Burger only | Approved burger pack | Does this order need a bag? |
| Burger and side | Burger pack plus side pack | Check both completed packs together |
| Meal with drink | Food packs plus approved drink setup | Check the intended stable carrying arrangement |
| Two meals | Each food component counted twice | Review the combined footprint and load |
These are illustrative combinations, not a tested kit or an offered bundle. Use your actual menu references and order mix.
Measure the bag around the completed order
Arrange the filled, closed components as staff will hand them over. Record the usable base needed, overall height, access to handles and how the order is loaded and removed. A nominal flat bag width does not describe every usable-base dimension.
A paper bag is not assumed to hold a drink upright. Review the exact drink support, closure and carrying method separately. Use the bag measurement guide to prepare the dimensional brief.
Count components and carrying bags separately
For an illustrative plan of 80 single meals and 20 two-meal orders, there are 120 meal packs but 100 orders. If every order uses one bag, that scenario needs 100 bags before stock and contingency adjustments. If some orders need none or more than one, change the bag-use assumption.
Record napkins from your service policy, not from the number of box units purchased. Confirm pack sizes and quote requirements per component.
Review the handoff under normal service
- Load the complete proposed arrangement with the normal contents.
- Record staff assembly steps and time from your own trial.
- Observe closure, access, carrying and opening.
- Keep successful and failed observations linked to exact sample codes.
Plan an event with the event-stock worksheet and capture sample conditions with the sample checklist.

Questions about this decision
Does one meal always equal one bag?
No. Bag consumption follows completed carrying arrangements. A two-meal order may share a bag, while another order may need no bag or a different arrangement.
Can I choose the bag before choosing containers?
You can prepare constraints, but final bag fit should use the filled, closed containers in the intended order arrangement.
Are drinks covered by a food bag fit check?
No. Drink closure, support and stability need their own review with the intended carrying method.
