Custom Food Packaging

Custom food and beverage packaging covers the cups, containers, wraps and service details used to present a menu. Choose a format around the food or drink, serving conditions and takeaway requirements, then confirm its specification for the intended use.

Packaging selection guide

Choose packaging around your menu and service

A cup, bowl or takeaway box should be specified for what goes inside it. Temperature, moisture, grease, portion size and the time between packing and consumption affect the choice. Branding comes after those practical requirements. For cups, describe hot or cold use, capacity, wall preference and lids. For meals, describe the portion and whether the package will be stacked or transported. Suitability for direct food contact must be confirmed for the specific material and use; a product photograph is not evidence of compliance.

Paper cups

For branded beverage service. Confirm drink temperature, capacity, wall construction and a compatible lid.

Takeout boxes

For takeaway meals and pickup orders. Describe food type, portion, moisture and closure requirements.

What to include in your quote

Include the menu item, serving temperature, portion or capacity, material preference, lid or closure, units per design and delivery ZIP. Identify any freezer, reheating or extended holding use so it can be evaluated rather than assumed.

Request a packaging quote or read the artwork preparation guide before preparing your files. To evaluate materials, ask about packaging samples.

Custom Food & Beverage Packaging: questions answered

How do I choose packaging for hot and cold drinks?

State the intended beverage and serving temperature first. Cup material, wall construction and lid compatibility need to match that use. A cold-drink cup should not be assumed suitable for hot drinks.

Are lids included with custom cups or bowls?

Do not assume lids are included. Request the lid with the container and confirm its fit, opening style, quantity and price in the quote.

Does a double-wall cup remove the need for a sleeve?

Double-wall construction provides an additional wall, but handling comfort depends on the beverage and cup specification. Discuss serving temperature and whether a sleeve is still required.

Is all printed food packaging suitable for direct food contact?

Suitability must be confirmed for the particular material, printing arrangement and intended conditions of use. Request manufacturer documentation for the final specification, especially where the food touches the packaging.

Can I use takeaway packaging in a microwave or freezer?

Only when that use is explicitly supported for the confirmed package. Include reheating, freezing or hot-holding requirements in your request; appearance and material names alone are not enough.

What information is needed for a food packaging quote?

Provide the food or drink, capacity or dimensions, temperature, closure, quantity per design, artwork and delivery ZIP. Price, available quantities and timing are reviewed for that specification.
