Separate hot drinks, cold drinks, retail coffee and food carryout. Record portions and service conditions for each so a shared visual identity does not hide different practical requirements.
Hot and cold drinks
List your working drink sizes, lids and sleeves. Use the cup wall comparison to prepare the request and test the specific cup/lid combination rather than choosing by volume alone. Cold drinks may also require room for ice and toppings.
Retail coffee
Describe whole-bean or ground coffee, the fill and packing process. The coffee pouch guide explains why dimensions, closure and any valve request belong alongside the fill weight.
Food and carryout orders
Measure the completed food container and drink arrangement against the usable carryout bag. Include napkins and wrap in your quantities, and evaluate the filled order rather than only individual empty samples.
Keep the branding consistent
Share color references and logo assets across the collection, but prepare a separate approved template for each cup, bag, pouch or sleeve. Different substrates can change color appearance.
Use the quote checklist to list quantities by size and design, accessories and delivery ZIP. See how Brand Your Pack works before starting your request.
A practical starting plan for your coffee shop
Start with the service you use most. Keep quantities and production files separate for each reference, then coordinate the visual identity across the collection.
| Service | Packaging to plan | Decision guide |
|---|---|---|
| Hot drinks to go | Paper cups, compatible lids and sleeves | Cup and lid fit |
| Retail coffee | Coffee bags and roast labels | Valves, closures and gussets |
| Food carryout | Greaseproof wrap, takeout boxes and paper bags | Bag fit and carrying |
How much should a coffee shop order?
Use your recorded order count, opening calendar and the number of each consumable used per order. Count retail bags of coffee separately from prepared drinks. The packaging consumption calculator lets you plan consumption, deduct stock and round purchasing to your supplier packs. Its examples are editable assumptions, not industry averages or confirmed pricing.
Can a shared logo use one print file?
Share the brand assets, but use an approved layout for each cup, sleeve, bag or pouch. A tapered cup and a flat pouch do not have the same print geometry. Review the artwork guide before approving the files.
